Windsurf
Windsurf (now called Devin Desktop) is an AI IDE that understands and works with your codebase.
Overview
Windsurf is an AI IDE, now offered under the name Devin Desktop, built for coding alongside AI without breaking your development flow. Installers are available for Mac, Windows and Linux.
Devin Local, the default local agent that runs on your own computer, shares the same Agent Harness as Devin CLI. Features include Context Awareness for understanding your codebase, MCP servers for extending the agent's capabilities, Memories and rules for tuning its behavior, Workflows for automating repetitive tasks, and App Deploys for one-step deployment.
Suited to developers who want to hand off writing, editing and even deploying code to an AI agent inside the editor.
What it is used for

- Connect MCP servers to expand the tools the agent can use.
- Use Memories and rules to tailor the agent's behavior to your project.
