Overview

n8n is a fair-code platform for building and deploying AI agents and workflow automation. You connect steps on a visual canvas and can add JavaScript or Python code where needed.

You can connect OpenAI, Anthropic or Google models or open-source models, and switch providers without changing the structure. You can see each step's inputs and outputs directly and rerun a single step, and you can add human approval steps, guardrails and evaluation features. It runs on your own servers or in the cloud, and provides integrations and templates for connecting to systems you already use.

It suits teams across IT, security, development, sales and other functions that want to bring AI into business processes in a controlled way. For enterprises, it supports on-premises deployment, SSO, permission management and audit logs.

Getting started

1. Set up Docker and install with curl -fsSL https://get.n8n.io | sh .
2. To deploy it yourself, run docker volume create n8n_data and then docker run -it --rm --name n8n -p 5678:5678 -v n8n_data:/home/node/.n8n docker.n8n.io/n8nio/n8n .
3. Open the editor in your browser at http://localhost:5678 .
4. Load a template or create a new workflow.
