LM Studio
LM Studio Bionic is LM Studio's local agent app for running open models on your own computer.
Overview
LM Studio Bionic is an agent for open models made by LM Studio that runs locally on your computer. You can hand it tasks such as writing and editing documents, coding, automation and operating your computer.
You download local LLMs directly in the app and use them for simple chats or agent tasks. It runs on the LM Studio runtime, which uses MLX and llama.cpp internally. Document work is saved automatically, and speech is transcribed in real time with support for multiple languages.
It suits people who want to use open models on their own computer for work and coding. Voice and audio data are processed only on the device, and LM Studio's cloud services use a Zero Data Retention approach that does not store data.
