ECC
ECC is an open-source agent harness toolkit that adds skills, memory and security checks to coding agents.
Overview
ECC is an open-source toolkit that organizes how coding agents work, and describes itself as an operations layer for agent harnesses. It bundles skills, memory, planning and security features so the same way of working can be used across multiple coding tools.
It attaches to Claude Code and Codex as a native plugin, to Cursor and OpenCode as a managed adapter, and to Kimi Code through project settings. It includes a review agent that checks code changes through a set procedure, security skills that check permissions, inputs and exposed secrets, and a learning feature that collects recurring lessons. A separate GitHub App analyzes repository history to find work guidelines suited to the project, which can be reviewed and stored alongside the code.
It suits developers who use several coding agents together and want to manage their team's work rules and security checks in one place. You can start with the open-source toolkit locally, or use the GitHub App to create repository-level guidelines.
What it is used for
- Use it to review code changes made by coding agents through a set procedure.
- Use it to check security risks such as permissions, input values and exposed secrets.
- Use it when you want the same skills and way of working across multiple tools such as Claude Code, Codex and Cursor.
- Use it to create agent work guidelines suited to a project based on repository history.
