Uber rolls out ChatGPT Work to all of its 30,000-plus employees, expanding from a small pilot
Announced October 22, 2026
Verified (fact)
OpenAI said Uber is deploying ChatGPT Work to all of its more than 30,000 employees. It will be used for research, data analysis, building presentations and handling multi-step tasks. TechCrunch reported that Uber had previously piloted the product at a much smaller scale before extending it company-wide.
Why it matters (interpretation)
It is a sign that more large companies are moving OpenAI's enterprise agent products past the pilot stage to company-wide deployment. It is a useful data point for the competition with Microsoft Copilot and others in the enterprise agent market.
