YouTube Music adds 'Made with AI' label to songs made fully or partly with AI; Deezer to launch AI music filter this year (report)

Announced October 14, 2026

Verified (fact)

According to TechCrunch and The Verge, YouTube will apply a 'Made with AI' label to songs that have been 'altered or fully generated' with AI. The label appears on the player screen and also covers songs where AI handled only part of the work, such as composition or vocals. The approach is similar to the existing process for labeling AI in videos and does not appear to apply to every use of AI tools in music production. On the same day, Deezer said it will introduce a toggle to filter out AI-generated music by the end of the year (TechCrunch).

Why it matters (interpretation)

As AI-generated tracks flood streaming platforms, major platforms are responding by labeling and filtering them. This could influence how creators and distributors disclose AI use.
