GitHub lets admins enforce latest managed settings on Copilot clients and adds AI Scan metrics dashboard
Announced October 13, 2026
Verified (fact)
Enterprise admins can now force Copilot clients to fetch the latest managed settings from the server at every startup instead of using cached policies, and can set a minimum client version. Organization and enterprise admins can also see metrics for AI Scan for PRs, such as findings and resolutions, in security overview.
Why it matters (interpretation)
As enterprise use of coding agents grows, features for enforcing policy and measuring impact are being put in place.
