What happened
Marking 100 days in office, Gyeonggi Governor Choo Mi-ae visited the Smart Mobility Testing Hub at Pangyo Techno Valley and the Gyeonggi Future Mobility Center on the 8th and announced a vision for autonomous-driving transportation innovation. The plan is to run the first trial of autonomous intercity buses on expressways in 2028, then expand to city buses and demand-responsive transit. The province aims to dispatch vehicles according to residents' travel demand to reduce transportation gaps between regions.
