AWS publishes reference architecture for multiple teams to share one SageMaker HyperPod cluster with isolation and fairness
Announced October 8, 2026
What happened
AWS published a reference architecture for multiple teams to safely share a single SageMaker HyperPod EKS cluster. It authenticates through IAM Identity Center and isolates teams with per-team SageMaker Domains and Kubernetes namespaces. HyperPod Task Governance allocates resources fairly, and costs are allocated per namespace.
Why it matters
It is a reference for operational design at companies where multiple organizations share expensive GPU clusters.
