AgiBot subsidiary AGILINK demos 'OmniHand 3 Ultra' robot hand splitting silk thread into 16 strands for embroidery (report)

Announced October 7, 2026

What happened

AGILINK, a subsidiary of China's AgiBot, released a video of its 'OmniHand 3 Ultra' robot hand performing the full Suzhou embroidery process. It split silk thread into 16 strands, threaded a needle, secured the embroidery hoop, and twisted thread to stitch. An embroidery master personally taught it how to handle silk.

Why it matters

Precise manipulation of materials without a fixed shape is considered a difficult challenge for robot hands.
