AWS brings Z.ai's 753B MoE model GLM 5.3 to Amazon Bedrock
Announced October 5, 2026
What happened
Z.ai's GLM 5.3 is now available on Amazon Bedrock. It is a 753-billion-parameter mixture-of-experts (MoE) model built for coding and long-horizon agent tasks. AWS also explained how to call it through an OpenAI-compatible API and how to cut cost and latency with prompt caching, and gave an example of running authorized security tests with the open-source Strix agent.
Why it matters
As a large Chinese open model joins a major cloud's managed service, enterprises have more coding and agent models to choose from inside Bedrock.
